I am very excited to share this post, because I have been working on something for the last month, that will hopefully launch in the Spring/Summer of this year. (Legit almost said next year because it hasn’t quite sunk in that we’re already in 2017).
The books I’m about to share will definitely inspire anyone who wants to create something or start their side hustle, or just do something that means more to you than going through the motions of working where you are now. (If you’re unhappy that is).
The $100 Startup: I bought this book for Arthur for Christmas. He hates his job and has so many good ideas for what he eventually wants to. I’ve actually started reading it too, and it’s definitely the kick in the ass you need if you’re doubting whether or not you can start something amazing due to lack of funding.
How To Fail At Almost Everything And Still Win Big: This is probably one of the best biz books I’ve read in a while. Scott Adams is the author and Dilbert comic illustrator, and tells you life things in a no nonsense, kind of way. He talks about why goals are for losers (I’ll do a full post on this), how a combo of mediocre skills make you more valuable, and how to appear like your really have it together. Really, the title alone should peak your curiosity enough to rush out and order it.
Rich Bitch: Obvi, you gotta get your shit together when it comes to budgeting and financing, especially if you’re going to launch your own biz, or just in generl. Nicole walks you through the 12 steps to getting your finances in order and still enjoy a Starbucks latte a few times a week.
Start Something That Matters: Ok, so this book is my like my Bible. If I can give you a hint of what’s to come this year, it’s starting with this book.
What books are you 100% loving lately and what are you reading to get you in the best mindset right now??
Off to finish my glass of wine and watch Arthur build my bookshelves (extremely comical).
