Alright, it’s almost the middle of August (where the hell has 2016 gone?!), so I’m sharing all my end of Summer book faves.
Switching it up for this post and featuring fiction.
I love all the books that motivate me to hustle and get my ass in gear, but I love a good plot line every now and again too, ya know?
Books with a plot get you to just think outside the box and get your imagination going.
End of Summer Reads
The Distant Hours – Kate Norton: Kate is one of my fave authors. Love “The Forgotten Garden” by her. The Distant Hours is a mystery. This chick Edie travels to a castle and starts to learn what happened to her mom who had stayed there during WWII. She starts digging around this abandoned castle and starts unraveling mysteries about the people who lived there forever ago.
A Man Called Over- Fredrik Backman : This book is about a grumpy little old man named, Ove, who’s world turns upside down when a very happy family moves in next door to him. You end up learning he’s got a sad story but the book ends up being heartwarming and sweet.
Valley of the Dolls-Jacquelin Susann: This is a classic. Totally blogger-esque. It’s about 3 best friends struggling to make it in NYC. They end up losing themselves trying to be people they’re not. Lots of tears, heartbreak, and screams, but the book is amaze.
Let me know what you’re reading lately!
I’m thinking of building a cute library (Beauty & the Beast style. Not so much the library in the Beast’s castle, but more like the bookshop Belle is always borrowing books from) in my next house, so I can always use a million more book recommendations.
Alright off to bed! Night, babes!
