How’s it going?? What’s new??
Hopefully everyone saw the Solar Eclipse and this post on manifesting positive vibes, yesterday. If ya didn’t, still check out because there’s lots of good energy still floating around and you can for sure take advantage.
So we’re switching gears today and talking hydration. Which, is still something I struggle with, but have def gotten better at over the last few months.
: pats self on the back:
Working 9-5 everyday and then using the weekend to decompress or relax or rush to work on things I couldn’t get done during the week, I’m kinda always forgetting to drink the amount of water I for sure should. So, I’ve discovered little tricks and hydration boosters to help me along until I can legit form a good habit and drink the recommended amount of H2o daily, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one struggling, so I’m sharing my tips with all of you chikadees too.
Tip #1 : Set an alarm. As onnoxious as this is, I literally have 8 alarms set on my phone. And when each one goes off, I chug at least half the water in my tumbler.
(Note, if you’re gonna do this, make sure that if you’re at work or out in public you’re near your phone. There’s been a couple of times when my alarm has gone off at work and I haven’t been near it to shut it off. Basically annoyed everyone in the office for 5 minutes. Whoops.)
Tip #2 : Invest in a tumbler (or 2). Obviously because these are much better for the environment than a plastic water bottle, but also because sometimes drinking out of something cute just entices you to actually drink.. (At least for me it does).
Tip #3: Learn to love coconut water (if ya don’t already). Not only is 95% water, but coconut water has so many amazing health benefits including: that it’s fun of electrolytes so it’s a way healthier and better option than sports drinks. It contains the same amount of Potassium as one banana, has calcium and magnesium, and coconut water contains antioxidants that help to neutralize oxidative stress and free radicals created by exercise. Look for fresh coconut water to get the highest levels of antioxidants though.
I always use coconut water in my smoothies vs regular water to get that added boost of goodness.

Tip #4: Eat Your Water. Check out this post on veggies and fruits that are insanely hydrating. So, if you forget to drink your water, at least pack some of these in your lunch box and snack away!
Tip #5: Make infused water: I know that sometimes plain water can be so meh, blah, whatevs. But, if I infuse it, I’m usually apt to drink quite a bit.

Tip #6 : Snag some WTRMLN WTR on your next shopping trip. I am OBSESSED, in love, could drink this everyday. It’s packed of full of healthy, hydrating watermelon flesh, watermelon rind, and lemon. Since watermelons are 92% water, this bottle of red goodness is amaze for hydration and tastes soooo good. It’s also loaded with Potassium, L-Citrulline, and Vitamin C. Yum.
