Ok, we all know I’m a huge animal lover so when I stumbled across this article this other day about how my 162718 mascara wands can save animals, I literally had an OMG moment.
It was also an “omg I literally have 10 things of mascara that I don’t even use.. why are these in my makeup bag” moment.
But that’s neither here nor there.

And if you’re basically a crazy makeup person like me, you can too.
Here’s the scoop:
Odd request, yes. But here’s why:
The tiny bristles on your mascara brush can help remove fly eggs and larva from the animal’s fur. The bristles are so close together they are really the best for capturing all that nastiness.
So start saving and washing those brushes and send them off to the Appalachian Wildlife Refuge, OR if you’re feeling extra generous, check out their wishlist and see what items you can donate through Amazon.
Save the animals!
