So the title above was both a question and statement.
I sort of know what I’m packing and I sort of wish I had more money to go shopping and buy some other outfit pieces.
But, as the Universe would have it, I’m broke and need to save up for our trip so I’m digging dip into my closet to find a few things that I can make some outfits out of. Because as Arthur says:
‘You have enough damn clothes!”
I mean, excuse me… But one can never have too many clothes. Especially when a vacation is coming up.
I’m sharing some of my favorite pieces for all you babes who may be vacationing soon and letting you know how I plan to turn these staples into actual outfits.
Here we go:
Blue & White Jumpsuit: I’ve mentioned my obsession with this little number here, and it is the first thing going into my suitcase. We have a Zoo trip planned (can you go to SD and not see the World Famous Zoo?), and this is super comfy and will be perfect for walking around for hours in the sun. Pair with my fave white shoes and I will be good.to.go.
Striped T-Shirt Dress: Nothing screams SoCal like a cute and BASIC t-shirt dress. San Diego is all about laid-back vibes, and I will for sure be wearing this when we wander around and eat 81263812 pounds of Mexican food and In-N-Out.
Utility jacket & simple white tank: Unfortunately, the weather will be a tad chilly when we’re there next week (a frigid 70), and since I’m cold 24/7, I need a jacket with every outfit. Love love love this olive utility jacket and pairing it with a basic tank, some jeans, this over the shoulder bag, and converse.
Spicy Lace Top: I have an upcoming collab opportunity with Tobi and I will 100% be bringing this top with me. We plan on going out to my fave spot, The Shouthouse and this is going to be so cute with black skinnies, a fun bralette, and some black pumps.
Palazzo Pants: This SD trip is part work, mostly vacay, so I gotta bring stuff that’s a little business casual for the conference I’m attending. These pants are my go-to when I don’t really feel like dressing up, but want to look like I have my life together.
Floral Kimono: I wore this in Charleston and I can’t say that I currently love anything else in my closet more. It looks cute with shorts, cute with pants, you can dress it up or dress it down.. The sky is the limit.
If you think of any other cute outfits, lemme know! And stay tuned for “WTF Am I Bringing To California (Beauty Edition)” Think: multi-use skincare and makeup products. Less is more.
